Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have re-signed cornerback Teddy Williams to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday morning.
Williams appeared in three games last season before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. The special teams stalwart recorded seven tackles, one pass defended and one interception in 2016.
The University of Texas at San Antonio alumnus did not play college football, but signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010.
He also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars before signing with Carolina in 2015.
