In order to prepare for next week’s NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers are hosting meetings with a variety of prospects. General manager Dave Gettleman prefers to meet his future players before selecting them on draft day and most recently, LSU safety Jamal Adams visited Carolina.
Last draft season the Panthers met with eventual first-round pick Vernon Butler multiple times. Prior Gettleman draft picks reveal that multiple meetings are more likely to identify possible targets for Carolina.
The list of prospects, provided courtesy of Walter Football, for those who have attended multiple meetings with the team are as follows:
Tarell Basham, DE – Ohio
Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE – Villanova
Obi Melifonwu, S – Connecticut
David Njoku, TE – Miami
Cam Robinson, OT – Alabama
Sam Tevi, OT – Utah
Mason Zandi, OT – South Carolina
A quick review of the list reveals multiple players projected as either late first-round or second-round picks.
