The Carolina Panthers haven’t opened an NFL season at home since 2013 but host the Dallas Cowboys to kick things off this year. After an impressive preseason showing despite numerous injuries, Carolina is poised for a return to the playoffs and hopefully will get things off to a good start with a victory.
Dallas enters Bank of America Stadium for the first time since 2012, a 19-14 Cowboys victory but Carolina won their last meeting on Thanksgiving Day, three seasons ago. Although the outcome of preseason games are meaningless, the Cowboys have yet to register a win this year.
