The Carolina Panthers have put reserve running back Fozzy Whittaker on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
Whittaker joined the Panthers in 2014 after stints with San Diego and Cleveland.
The six-year veteran has rushed for 536 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers. He also has 397 yards receiving with two receiving touchdowns.
Whittaker's injury news comes the same week the Panthers added two additional running backs.
The team signed former Broncos running back C.J. Anderson on Monday and added Charlotte native and former UNC standout Elijah Hood on Tuesday.
