Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers have placed Andy Lee on injured reserve after the 13-year veteran pulled his hamstring in the team’s 20-17 loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
Palardy signed a one-year deal with Carolina on April 4, but was waived on June 7 to make room for former punter Mike Scifres.
The University of Tennessee alumnus spent the preseason with the Panthers in a fight for the starting punting job. Palardy has spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad this season.
Carolina acquired Lee and a 2017 seventh-round pick on Aug.
