The Carolina Panthers have yet to play single snap of live football action and yet their offensive line has been riddled with injury. Starting tackle Daryl Williams suffered a torn MCL and dislocated patella before left guard Amini Silatolu went down with a torn meniscus.
Both were hoping for good seasons as Williams entered a contract year and Silatolu was replacing All-Pro guard Andrew Norwell. Now, coach Ron Rivera is forced to either dive well into the depth chart or have general manager Marty Hurney look for options elsewhere.
The silver lining to this cloudy situation is that the regular season remains a month away.
