Tiffany Blackmon reports that the Panthers and Norv Turner have “agreed in principle” for him to be their new offensive coordinator.
The expectation has been that Turner was going to get the job, so this shouldn’t come as surprising news.
On Wednesday, David Newton, citing a league source, reports that the Panthers were finalizing a contract with Turner to be their new offensive coordinator and that Turner’s son, Scott, would also join the Panthers’ coaching staff.
Following the 2016 season, Turner said he wanted to get back into coaching, but he wound up sitting out the entire 2017 season.
