It came as no surprise that the Carolina Panthers moved quickly to bring in another veteran offensive lineman after failing to acquire one in the NFL Draft.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the franchise has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with guard Michael Schofield, who spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers and is a seasoned veteran with five years’ experience in the NFL.
Schofield’s arrival is a significant boost to the Panthers, who traded Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner to the Chargers in exchange for left tackle Russell Okung.
