CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- My lawyer will get in touch with your lawyer.
That was the message Carolina Panthers nickel back Leonard Johnson had for teammate Thomas Davis after the outside linebacker helped send him to the hospital during Thursday night’s 23-20 win over New Orleans.
Johnson was kidding about the legal action, naturally.
But he wasn’t kidding about Davis playing a role in his overnight stay in the hospital with what team officials called a chest contusion.
It happened late in the third quarter when, on third down, Johnson tackled Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks just shy of the first down.
