Charlotte, N.C. — Carolina Panthers linebacker Jeremy Cash has been placed on injured reserve with a calf injury, the team announced on Saturday.
Cash has missed the last two weeks of action while nursing the injury.
The former All-ACC safety at Duke joined the Panthers as an undrafted rookie free agent last season.
Carolina promoted first-year defensive end Bryan Cox to the 53-man roster from the team’s practice squad on Saturday in a corresponding roster move.
The former Florida Gator signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Panthers in May.
