The Carolina Panthers selected linebacker Luke Kuechly with the ninth overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and his impact on the NFL was immediate.
Kuechly led the entire league in tackles, a feat he again accomplished in 2014, on his way to the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. The following season he would become the youngest and first Panthers’ recipient of the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award. And on October 22nd the Boston College Eagles will honor and recognize Kuechly for his collegiate contributions with a jersey retirement ceremony during their football game against Syracuse.
