Carolina Panthers guard Andrew Norwell recently hired high-profile agent Drew Rosenhaus, and it’s not a coincidence that the move came now.
Norwell is in a contract year and is set to become a restricted free agent. He also just watched his counterpart Trai Turner, also a Rosenhaus client, rake in a nice four-year, $45 million extension immediately prior to training camp.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported on Sunday that Norwell hopes to get a deal done before the season begins.
But general manager Marty Hurney told the Observer that he has not started contract negotiations in regards to Norwell.
