The Panthers started Tuesday off by signing an important special teams contributor and emergency backup quarterback and wide receiver.
Not a flashy signing, but Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer tweeted that the Panthers and QB/WR/ST Joe Webb agreed to a two year deal today.
Joe Webb was a pretty good special teams contributor in 2015, and can function as an emergency quarterback or wide receiver should an injury happen mid-game. Webb hasn't done much for the Panthers aside from play special teams and celebrate with Cam on the sidelines, mainly because of Derek Anderson's hold on the primary backup spot.
