After a busy morning extending Jaycee Horn and narrowly missing out on defensive tackle Milton Williams, the Carolina Panthers are now expected to sign former Las Vegas Raiders safety Tre’von Moehrig. The deal will reportedly be for three-years and $51M guaranteed. This is a great price for one of the few, true stars out of Las Vegas, recently.
Moehrig has been up and down the top free agent safeties rankings, but most often is found somewhere in the top three to five names. PFF has him as a top-15 safety in the league in terms of “interceptions, forced incompletion rate, tackles for loss or no gain and defensive stops.
