The Panthers traded a 3rd and 4th round pick from the 2017 draft pool of picks to grab Daeshon Hall in the 3rd round. They clearly wanted to grab a young and promising pass rusher to develop behind Julius Peppers, Charles Johnson, and Mario Addison. They had other options on the board, but decided to grab the guy who played opposite #1 pick Myles Garrett.
Hall played four years at Texas A&M, opposite highly lauded prospect Myles Garrett. Hall accumulated 14 sacks during that span, with 7 coming in the 2015 season.
