Panthers DE Charles Johnson holds his own with wrestling legend Ric Flair

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson isn’t ready to retire from football and take on 16-time world wrestling champion Ric Flair in the ring.

But on Saturday Johnson showed he can hold his own in a war of words with one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

The exchange happened on Twitter when Flair, known as the "Nature Boy" among other nicknames, touted his allegiance for the Atlanta Falcons in Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers.

Before going further, it's important to understand Flair’s history with the Panthers and how fickle he has been in his allegiance -- to any NFL team.
