The Panthers continue trimming the roster with the decision to place wide receiver Brenton Bersin on injured reserve, according to a tweet by Joe Person.
Bersin battled injuries throughout the preseason and never really had much of an opportunity to fight for his place on the 53-man roster. There’s no word yet on how many receivers the Panthers plan to keep on the depth chart, but this is a positive development if you’re a fan of Kaelin Clay who now has a better shot at making the team.
