With a heavy heart, I must announce that the Carolina Panthers cut wide receiver Brenton Bersin today prior to their game against the Atlanta Falcons tomorrow.
Ya Boi spent the last three seasons on the Panthers 53 man roster and played in several games. The Panthers clearly need a roster spot for depth at positions of weakness however, as OT Michael Oher, RB Jonathan Stewart, and DT Vernon Butler are a few bigger names that won't be able to play on Sunday. Both Stewart and Butler are expected to miss several more weeks while Oher will be able to play once he clears all stages of the NFL concussion protocol.
