CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The re-signing of Kyle Love gives the Carolina Panthers the four-man rotation at defensive tackle they were looking to secure going into the NFL draft.
That doesn't mean they won't select a tackle in the first or second round.
General manager Dave Gettleman has said repeatedly this is a good year for defensive tackles. He took Star Lotulelei in the first round and Kawann Short in the second when he said that prior to the 2013 draft.
They are solidified as the starters in 2016, with Short and Paul Soliai the backups.
