CHARLOTTE -- The Panthers filled one of their four open roster spots by claiming defensive end Zach Moore off waivers.
Moore, who was released by the 49ers on Tuesday, has appeared in 10 regular season games since the Patriots took him in the sixth round of the 2014 draft.
The first ever player drafted from Division II Concordia University, the 6-foot-6, 280-pounder was active in eight games his rookie season finishing with three tackles, 0.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Released by the Patriots during final cuts before the 2015 season, Moore spent most of that year on the Vikings' practice squad.
