Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers added to their deep defensive end group by claiming Zach Moore off waivers, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
Moore was released by San Francisco on Tuesday. He was selected with the No. 198 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by New England.
The Concordia University alumnus has appeared in 10 combined regular season games since 2014 with the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and Patriots. He started a career-high eight games in his rookie campaign, tallying three tackles, 0.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Carolina now has three roster spots open after picking up Moore.
