Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Panthers have claimed CB Ladarius Gunter off of waivers from the Packers on Wednesday.
Gunter, 25, signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2015. He was entering the final year of a three-year, $1.58 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 this season.
The Packers somewhat surprisingly cut him loose on Tuesday.
In 2016, Gunter was active for all 16 games for the Packers and recorded 54 total tackles, 12 pass defenses, and two forced fumbles.
