As the search for a new owner for the Carolina Panthers continues, another potential bidder is set to visit Charlotte. Ben Navarro, a South Carolina businessman who has been linked throughout the search process, will visit Bank of America Stadium on Monday per multiple reports. Navarro holds the title of founder and CEO of Sherman Financial Group LLC.
Last week, National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell said the sale of the Panthers is receiving “unprecedented interest.” The league is planning to vote on the sale May 21-23 at the league meetings in Atlanta.
The Panthers sale could be the largest ever for a professional sports team.
