CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Baker Mayfield admits there have been times the past month when he's wondered if he would get another chance to start for the Carolina Panthers and what that would mean for his future as a quarterback in the NFL.
The first pick of the 2018 draft also insists his future isn't what the opportunity to start on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) is about.
"It's pretty important to win, considering we're still in a division race,'' Mayfield said on Wednesday. "That's where I'm at. I'm not worried about everything else.
