The Carolina Panthers have been unanimous favorites more than once this season but it hasn’t always worked to their advantage. Carolina was favored last week and narrowly escaped with a victory thanks in large part to both a defensive and special teams touchdown.
On the other hand, the Panthers have been full fledged underdogs only once back nine weeks ago at New England. Carolina was coming off their first loss of the regular season, which happened to be against the Saints, and facing a tough trip to Foxboro playing defending Super Bowl champion, New England.
Carolina enjoyed one of their most dominating performances of 2017, eventually winning 33-30 but leading by 14 near the beginning of the fourth quarter.
