Monday night was supposed to be the game that got the Panthers on track. A prime time game against a weaker opponent in the friendly confines of Bank of America stadium was a welcome sight for a team who had previously lost three games to teams with a combined record of 13-2. But a win was not in the cards. The offense struggled to move the ball consistently and when it did move the ball, Derek Anderson promptly gave it away.
Defensively though, it wasn’t the worst performance we’ve ever seen. Tampa Bay came out with an intent to ram the ball down the Panthers’ throat.
