It is upon us. The start to the 2016 regular season starts with a bang, as the Panthers start the year off against their Super Bowl foe Denver Broncos.
It doesn't happen always, but a Super Bowl rematch can occur during the following season. It is even more rare to have the previous Super Bowl teams kickoff the regular season in the first game of the year. In fact, that hasn't happened since 1970 when the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs faced each other in week 1. This will provide the Carolina Panthers with a chance for immediate redemption against the Denver Broncos, and the means to spoil their banner raising night.
