With the announcement that linebacker Jared Norris has a super serious case of turf toe, the Carolina Panthers felt they needed to add more depth at the position. To that end, they’ve signed linebacker Brandon Chubb to the practice squad and released quarterback Connor Cook.
Chubb most recently spent time with the Colts and Titans this summer. He was with the Lions during the 2018 offseason. Chubb spent the 2017 season on the Lions’ injured reserve list. As a rookie in 2016, he spent time on the practice squads of San Francisco, Detroit and the Los Angeles Rams.
