The score tells the story, the Carolina Panthers second preseason loss was a sorry game to watch for the most part. I cannot say it was a defensive battle because both offenses struggled as preseason offenses tend to do. The game simply lacked big and exciting plays. Let’s chalk up to vanilla preseason game plans. Still there was certainly a little good, some bad and some ugly.
The good
Rookie defense end Brian Burns continues to impress. He recorded two more sacks to bring his total to four in three preseason games. This time though his sacks came against the back-ups rather than starters.
