The Carolina Panthers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 16-8 in the first game of the Tepper Era to bring the Panthers into a first place tie with the Buccaneers in the NFC South at 1-0. It wasn’t pretty, but the offense did just enough to score 16 points and the defense did just enough to prevent the Cowboys from making a comeback at the end to seal the victory. Mario Addison made a key play late in the 4th quarter by forcing a Dak Prescott fumble, and Captain Munnerlyn was Johnny-on-the-spot and recovered it to seal a win for Carolina.
