CHARLOTTE, N.C -- You could almost hear Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton screaming in frustration from his uptown apartment not far from Bank of America Stadium.
The Panthers had a first down at the Tampa Bay 1-yard line with 8:45 remaining on Monday night. They were in position to win a game that they probably had no right to win.
Then quarterback Derek Anderson made a play that defined Carolina's season thus far.
He threw a pass in the direction of tight end Greg Olsen, who was double covered in the right corner of the end zone.
