NFL roster cuts: Carolina Panthers release offensive tackle John Theus

The hits just keep on coming. Fresh off the news that veterans Kurt Coleman and Charles Johnson got their walking papers, Max Henson broke this piece of news:

The Panthers acquired John Theus off waivers after he was let go by the 49ers in mid September of last season. The third year pro never saw the field for the Panthers before he was put on injured reserve on December 2nd.

Prior to his time in Carolina, the former Georgia Bulldog spent two years in San Francisco after being selected with the 145th pick in the 2016 draft.
