CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NFL security and the Carolina Panthers are investigating how four protesters got rappelling equipment into Bank of America Stadium for Monday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said on Tuesday the league is looking into "all aspect of the incident to understand what happened.''
The Panthers are "re-emphasizing'' their security check process as they prepare for Sunday's game against the Green Packers.
Stadium director of security Lance Emory said officials still are unsure how or when the equipment was brought into the stadium.
