The Carolina Panthers cannot be done in free agency. The team has several sizable holes created either by odd circumstance (the Breeland debacle), or years of simple neglect (the safety position). Several other positions are an injury away from disaster (namely: tight end, running back and defensive end).

The idea of this exercise to prompt a discussion about players who fit the Panthers’ needs first, but also fit their dollar-store budget and finally are realistic options given the ‘moral’ restrictions the organization seems to penalize itself with (sans Reid).
