CHARLOTTE – During his Wednesday press conference, quarterback Cam Newton was asked how the Panthers, fresh off consecutive victories to start the season, plan to avoid the lull that plagued them after a 2-0 start in 2014.
"We mentioned it in practice. Obviously, we’ve been in this situation before," Newton said. "We want to put ourselves in better situations. I keep sounding like a broken record, but we can’t have any opportunities (in practice) slip away. We have to hone in and focus in.
"Winning really covers up a lot of loose ends, but we have to find those loose ends and make them better.
