As the second half of the NFL season gets underway, the Carolina Panthers head into week nine looking to add some distance between themselves and the Green Bay Packers for the #1 spot in the NFC. Conversely, the Packers will head to Charlotte on a mission to prove that last week’s loss to Denver was merely a bump in the road and that they are still the top dogs in the conference.
While the Packers were exposed to an extent, they still remain the most challenging opposition to the Panthers and although many are coming around to see Carolina as true contenders, last week’s thrilling overtime win against Indianapolis showed that the team may in fact have some weakness to exploit.
