According to a report on the team’s official website, the Carolina Panthers have reinstated interim general manager Marty Hurney after NFL officials found no evidence that he violated the personal conduct policy.
The Panthers placed Hurney on paid administrative leave on Feb. 4 when the NFL began an investigation into whether Hurney violated the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. The NFL informed the team Friday that there was no evidence of a violation and the investigation is now closed.
Hurney is a candidate to fill the Panthers’ full-time general manager opening. The team has also interviewed Bills assistant college scouting director Lake Dawson, Texans assistant general manager Jimmy Raye II and 49ers senior personnel executive Martin Mayhew.
