The Carolina Panthers landed wide receiver Kevin Norwood in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced on Monday, sending Seattle an undisclosed 2017 draft pick in the deal.
"Kevin gives us another player to compete at the wide receiver position," general manager Dave Gettleman said, per Panthers.com's Max Henson. "He has the size you look for along with toughness and smarts. We studied him a lot going into last year’s draft and we look forward to having him as part of our receiving corps."
Norwood, 25, caught nine passes for 102 yards during his rookie season with the Seahawks, appearing in nine games.
