CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Five observations as the Carolina Panthers continued Phase 3 of offseason workouts on Tuesday:
No brace for Benjamin: Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin wasn’t wearing a brace on the left knee that was surgically repaired last summer, but that doesn’t mean he won’t when he starts working against defenders in team drills. Right now Carolina’s first pick of the 2014 draft is participating only in individual drills, something that likely will continue until training camp. He’s going full-speed and making sharp cuts, so that’s a good sign. He’s comfortable without the brace, saying that will help him build confidence in the knee.
