CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short insists there’s no disappointment that a long-term deal hasn’t been reached with only two negotiating days remaining before Thursday’s opener at Denver.
But the 2015 Pro Bowl selection was disappointed with his performance in Super Bowl 50.
He had one tackle, no sacks and no quarterback pressures in the 24-10 loss to the Broncos. That came after a regular season in which he led the team with 12 sacks and 32 pressures.
“I just didn’t play well,’’ Short said. “That’s been eating at me all offseason.
