CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Jonathan Stewart isn’t an in-your-face kind of guy off the field. He is quiet and soft-spoken, preferring to spend free time playing the piano instead of doing interviews or other media requirements that come with being an NFL star.
On the field, the Carolina Panthers running back is all about being in the face of defenders, but not in a vocal way.
He does it with his body.
And in Monday night's win at Washington, the 29-year-old Stewart got into the face of two defenders so hard that it separated his facemask from his helmet.
