CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Injured Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson wanted to be with his teammates for Sunday’s game in Seattle so badly that he flew there on his own and sat in the stands.
He was treated to a dramatic 27-23 victory that improved the Panthers to 5-0 and extended their regular-season winning streak to a franchise-record nine games.
Johnson posted this on Twitter after the Panthers won on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Cam Newton to Greg Olsen with 32 seconds remaining.
The worst the 5-O team now
Johnson was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return following a Week 3 win over the Saints in which he suffered a severe hamstring injury.
