The Carolina Panthers have heavy hearts this week after the news longtime assistant coach Richard Williamson passed away Monday night. Williamson was 74 and had been battling a heart condition.
Although a heavy heart around the team, former general manager Marty Hurney informed ESPN.com when asked about Williamson, that Williamson was
“One of the best men I’ve known.”

Through his coaching, Williamson brought some of what we now know as some of the most prominent wide receivers in the game, to where they are now.
