CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton began his Wednesday press conference with a question about his influence on society.
That led to a series of questions about his dancing.
The “dab,’’ in case you missed it in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win at Tennessee.
Newton is influential whether he wants to be or not. He sparks emotion, whether it’s outrage from a fan for taking down a banner or the joy of a 6-year-old who got a football from the quarterback a few months after losing his father.
The “dab’’ sparked more emotion that even Newton could have imagined considering it’s gotten as much or more attention than Carolina’s 9-0 record.
