Spartanburg, S.C. — Former North Carolina State University and current Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tobais Palmer watched practice Sunday morning from the sidelines after being placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Palmer participated in team stretches and worked on conditioning with coaches, but he attended practice without a helmet or pads.
A spokesperson with the Panthers said Palmer is dealing with an apparent ankle injury. Palmer is eligible to return to the field at any time while on the PUP list.
Carolina signed Palmer on May 20, along with former Atlantic Coast Conference foe LaRon Byrd of Miami.
