Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers survived Atlanta on Sunday, holding on to defeat the visiting Falcons, 20-17, in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium.
Carolina’s victory marks the first against Atlanta since the 2015 season. The Falcons cruised past Carolina in both divisional matchups last season.
With the win, Carolina moves to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in NFC South division play. Atlanta falls to 4-4 and 0-1 against divisional opponents.
The Panthers return to action against next week against the Miami Dolphins for a Monday Night Football showdown in the Queen City.
