Five takeaways from Panthers' preseason finale win over Steelers

Charlotte, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers wrapped up their 2016 preseason slate with an 18-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium.

Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly and the majority of Carolina’s starters watched the team’s preseason finale from the sideline Thursday night. However, Kuechly kept a close watch on the action, perusing the sideline with a headset and play sheet in hand.

Third-string quarterback Joe Webb played the entire game for Carolina, finishing 17-of-29 for 200 yards and led five Panthers scoring drives – all of which resulted on Graham Gano field goals.
