Five players Panthers should consider at No. 8 in NFL Draft

The Carolina Panthers will enter Thursday’s NFL Draft with the 8th overall selection after finishing with a 6-10 record to follow up their run to Super Bowl 50.

Carolina will pick in the top 10 for the first time since 2012, when the Panthers selected All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly No. 9 overall out of Boston College.

The Panthers have drafted No. 8 overall twice in franchise history, selecting running back Tshimanga Biakabutuka in 1996 and offensive lineman Jordan Gross in 2003.

Here are five players the Panthers should consider at No. 8 before making their selection in the 2017 NFL Draft:

Leonard Fournette – RB, LSU

The Panthers have an immediate need and depth issue at the running back position.
