CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Ron Rivera has spent much of his professional career in Chicago, so the Carolina Panthers head coach typically isn’t nervous no matter what he is asked to do in the city. Such was the case Saturday when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Colorado-Chicago game at Wrigley Field.
While he wasn’t nervous, he did feel a little bit of awe. There is something about walking to the mound at Wrigley Field that will do that to just about anyone.
