I’ll just state this up front: I still strongly disapprove of the Kelvin Benjamin trade.
I’m firmly entrenched in the “Win Now!” camp with this iteration of the Carolina Panthers roster. I don’t see how shipping off KB for picks helps a 5-3 team in a winnable division make a playoff run this year. The prime years of Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly simply cannot be wasted. I hope I’m proven wrong, but I think this trade makes the Panthers worse this season and a similar deal could have been made in the offseason if Carolina wanted to move on from KB.
